Make A Movie |
|
Everybody loves movies! In this game children can play a small movie, but there is a catch. First they must place three or four stills from a movie in the correct sequence. Only then will the movie play.
On starting the game the movie stills are displayed randomly at the top of the screen and a brief description of the movie is voiced. Children must click and drag them down one by one into the order that they think they occur.
The stills will click into place, but they can also be removed and placed in another spot or sent back to the top at any time. To replace a still, simply drop another one on top of it.
Once all the stills have been placed and are in the correct order, the movie will play. If the stills are not in the correct order the incorrect ones will be sent back to the top. Children can keep placing the stills until the correct order is found.
There are two levels:
To exit, click on the small hand in the lower right corner of the screen.
Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity

In this game it is very important that children listen to the initial description of the movie. Some of the stills are difficult to sequence without an idea of what the end movie is about.
Younger children may not yet understand the relationship between the numbers and the sequencing. Teachers can help them by explaining that the first that still they think happens should go on number one, the second one on number two etc.
Encourage children to keep trying if they are having difficulty. As correctly placed stills remain in the clip, children can achieve success by trial and error.
